Office Relocation
As part of our continous development, we have relocated our offices to our expanded Castleside site.
The move is the first stage as part of Lamplas moving all it's production on to one site. This will give us greater control and will provide our customers with a greater level of service.

£60k Dust Extraction Investment
Lamplas have turned to Nederman for the latest in on-tool dust extraction equipment. Traditionally Lamplas’ two large trim departments have used general workshop dust extraction. This has proved expensive to run and only marginally effective at dust capture.
Nederman high vacuum system creates a powerful vacuum that captures dust at source. This is supported by several downdraft extraction benches to create a cleaner working environment. The final additions to the new Trimming workshop are large entry and exit pneumatically controlled PVC crash doors to allow hands-free movement of employees and unrestricted flow of products.
The Nederman equipment allows for dust extraction through into the new Development workshop and the new Finishing workshops, and with automatic vacuum valves, energy usage and noise are kept to a minimum.

Newcastle Racing
Have enlisted expertise from Lamplas to produce composite air ducts. Newcastle Racing is a small team studying at Newcastle University who complete in the Formula Student competiton, where engineering students design, build & race a single seater racing car. Lamplas Appoints Quality Manager
Lamplas Polymer Engineering has appointed Richard Wallace as Quality Manager.
Richard, from Durham, has worked in quality for the last 14 years and has spent the last 9 years working for CAV Aerospace.
Keith Siddle, Operations Director at Lamplas said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard on board. His strong engineering and quality background will make him a valuable member of our team”.
Richard commented: “I’ve joined Lamplas at a very exciting time as we move the operation into the expanding Castleside site”.
